Reminiscent of a rich gold vein running through a body of quartz. Available in white concrete only at this time as I feel this most accurately represents natural quartz. I use a quartz sand in this concrete to lend legitimacy to this concept.
I use genuine 24k gold leaf on these bowls. Though I would be able to bring down the price by using imitation gold leaf, I believe in honesty of materials and that only the highest quality materials enable a high-quality end product. These bowls are handmade one at a time, variations in vein patterning and the amount of gold leaf will vary from bowl to bowl. At the time of this writing I have made a few of these bowls and have come to appreciate that less in more in this application, and that too much gold leaf results in an inaccurate representation of nature and tends to look overworked.

This is a concept I have been wanting to pursue since making my first concrete bowls back in 2014. These bowls are cast in such a way that the signature character of concrete is captured and exhibited on the exterior of the bowl. This is contrasted by a smooth interior which is fairly consistent in color and relatively hole free. The exterior of your bowl will exhibit a highly cratered and veined texture.

These trays were inspired by the curled edges of a recently fallen leaf. Design liberties were taken while expanding from this initial idea. This allowed for a bit of abstraction, as well as to ensure it could be produced in concrete.
Most people see a leaf, though I’ve also been told this tray resembles a puffer fish, a Jesus fish, or a well fed quail or chicken…I guess the curved end is the beak, the other end the tail. What do you see?

After casting these bowls I cut relief lines with a diamond blade. I then chisel out the portions between the lines creating the quarried texture.

I make concrete trays for a couple of business that are built around stylish bottle dispensers. I’m often asked if my concrete trays fit these bottle, which they do, but until now I haven’t focused on making a tray sized specifically to these bottles. This is that tray.
The bottle tray employs near 360-degree underside finger holds with a stylish radius on the external walls. The inner curves allow two 16-ounce bottles to stand shoulder to shoulder. *please confirm dimensions below*

This is a set of 5 concrete bowls. They are sized at ~4.5'', 6'', 7.5'', 9'' and 10.5'' and conveniently nest inside one another. These bowls are available in white, light grey, grey, and charcoal. If you'd like a mixed set, just include a note with purchase of the desired colors.
These bowls are entirely hand made. Once mixed, the concrete is cast in a series of custom molds which create the unique nesting capability of these bowls. After 24 hours the bowls are pulled from their molds, and set to cure for another 24 hours before processing takes place. The top edge is ground and polished by hand using a water cooled diamond grinder. This creates a clean, sharp look and sets these bowls apart of others which may not have this modern, finished look. Perfect as a fruit bowl or industrial styled center piece.

These bowls are entirely hand made. Once mixed, the concrete is cast in a series of custom molds which create the unique nesting capability of these bowls. After 24 hours the bowls are pulled from their molds, and set to cure for another 24 hours before processing takes place. The top edge is ground and polished by hand using a water cooled diamond grinder. This creates a clean, sharp look and sets these bowls apart of others which may not have this modern, finished look. Perfect as a fruit bowl or industrial styled center piece.

For such a simple shape, this tray was surprisingly difficult to design. All the initial organic forms I came up with looked forced and manufactured. Eventually I found the perfect looking river rock which proved to be the answer I was looking for. I traced the rock, and carved out the tray shape while mimicking the natural curves of its natural form.

The form of this tray is inspired by a prehistoric hand axe or a flint knapped arrowhead. I think a certain acknowledgment should be given to the first tools humans used, and this is my homage to those relics. Individual concave facets can be used to separate and organize small items.

A concrete planter with texture derived from weathered barn wood. After years spent in the elements, the combination of sun, wind, rain and snow eroded away the softer wood leaving the raised grain texture unique to barn wood. An intricate mold was made, which captures this surface and allows a concrete replica to be cast.
